The Washington Blade, D.C.'s main LGBT news outlet, is reporting that Congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson has placed Chief of Staff Murat Gokcigdem on leave following questions about a 2010 e-mail... staffer Chris Crowe was seeking a letter of recommendation from Johnson for a position in Obama's Treasury Department...."It is my personal belief that he has contacts there," Gokcigdem wrote. "And they, as a group watching and supporting each other if you know what I mean."

PITTSBURGH — Wednesday night the 14th, 15th and 16th bomb threats were reported at different buildings on the University of Pittsburgh campus. School officials sent out the following alert to students and staff just after 5 p.m., "A general bomb threat has been received for the Cathedral of Learning, Posvar Hall and Litchfield Tower C. Meredith Lowell of Cleveland Heights was arrested for allegedly soliciting a hitman to kill any adult who walked out of the local public library and was wearing fur, according to CBS News. Lowell allegedly included these details in an email to an undercover FBI agent who contacted her: "I am paying you $730 to kill one person wearing fur who is 12 or older - hopefully at least 14 years, however 12 years old or older is fine. I want them to be dead in under two minutes"
